The chorus, which originally was not called with this name, has its seat in Cossato.
Born from a small group of friends who felt like staying and singing together, this chorus was
successively able to involve people coming from other parts of the Biellese district. This
enabling us to grow both numerically (at the moment there are about 40 members subdivided in four voice
sections: Soprano,
Contralto,
Tenor and
Bass) and artistically,
laughing and joking but at the same time working hard. In 1994 we became the Chorus "Noi Cantando".
Certainly the results we have obtained are not just due to us,but with many thanks to our conductor,
Vitaliano Zambon.
Due to the dedication and spare time Mr. Zambon has given us, it has been possible to get success
and good performances both on regional and national territory.
For all of us every concert has been an opportunity for improving and getting satisfactions, but
some occasions have surely been more precious than others:
- Our presence at a very well known TV programme called "The wheel of fortune" (La Ruota della Fortuna),
presented by a very noted person Mr. Mike Bongiorno
- The night of the opening ceremony of a new theatre in Cossato alongside another noted person Mr. Ezio Greggio
- The "Singing day" in Verbania which was organized by the Association of Piedmontese Choruses
- "Chiostro in musica", a chorus festival which took place in Prato (the province of Biella, as one of the
new italian provinces been represented)
- In Trentino Alto Adige for the occasion of the 2nd national festival of choral singing.
For 2 years our chorus has been organizing, its own concert inviting other choruses coming not only
from the province of Biella.
The repertoire
we propose should represent a short trip in the world of the music history,
composed of two different moments: the folk songs, without instrumental accompaniment,
and the pop music songs, with accompaniment of guitar, keyboard and little percussions.
The skilful harmonizations of Mr. Gian Luigi Sabarino
help to give a particular mark on our chorus.
